Signs Series

I have always been curious about signs. They catch my attention on street corners, in shop windows, along highways and in places where I least expect to find them. Some make me laugh, some make me think and others reveal something about the people and communities around them.

My background as a city planner taught me to look closely at places and consider how people experience them. When I travel, photographing signs becomes a way of understanding where I am. They tell stories about local customs, shared values, history and everyday life.

Together, these photographs create a personal map of places I have visited and moments I want to remember. They are reminders to slow down, remain curious and notice the small messages the world leaves for us in plain sight.
