Patricia Grabski

Patricia Grabski is a San Diego based fine art photographer originally from Upstate New York. Her professional background in city planning has influenced her interest in the natural and built environments and the ways they shape our experience of place. Her work is exploratory and often minimalist. Grabski begins with the subject rather than a particular technique, allowing each body of work to guide her choice of process. She works across digital, analog and alternative photography, moving between contemporary and historical processes as her work evolves.

Her work has been included in juried and group exhibitions throughout Southern California, including Cannon Art Gallery in Carlsbad, Escondido Arts Partnership, The Photographer’s Eye Gallery in Escondido and Gallery 21 in Balboa Park. She has exhibited work exploring botanical subjects, landscapes and signs along with more personal investigations of memory and family history.

Grabski is a member of True North Photo Society and Medium Photo Collective. She continues to explore new subjects, processes and forms of presentation while maintaining a photographic approach grounded in observation, curiosity and simplicity.
