Language of Flowers Series
Artist Statement
Flowers have long been associated with meanings and emotions. In this series, I explore a more personal conversation shaped by light, gesture, memory and observation. Rather than photographing flowers and leaves as botanical specimens, I approach them as portraits.
Using natural light, selective focus and altered optics, I look for movement, texture and expression. I am drawn to quiet moments of emergence and transformation: a blossom beginning to open, rain resting on petals, leaves shifting with the season and flowers beginning to fade.
These changing forms remind me that beauty is found not only in perfection but also in growth, change and impermanence. I hope the photographs invite viewers to slow down, look closely and discover their own quiet conversation with the natural world.
