I'm Not Plastic

Complex Chemical Arrangement

Artist Statement:

I'm Not Plastic: Complex Chemical Arrangement" is my cheeky response to a photographic series I created called "Giver." You see, she's no ordinary plastic doll—oh no! She's a dazzling concoction of intricate materials, a marvel of chemical complexity that has evolved since her humble creation. Just like us humans, she has undergone a marvelous journey of discovery, transforming into a work of art that captivates and fascinates. When these fully articulated dolls strike a pose, something magical happens, they come alive with human-like qualities, brimming with emotions and stories waiting to be told. As a woman myself, I can truly relate. I've toiled relentlessly to carve out my own identity, constantly striving to be something tangible and genuine in a world that often demands conformity. These dolls, with their exquisite forms, gracefully bathed in natural light, casting enchanting shadows, reflect my innermost thoughts and perceptions. In their essence, these dolls remind us that we are all interconnected through the intricate tapestry of creation. Through their images, I delve into the realms of femininity, exploring the boundless facets of beauty, celebrating ethnic diversity, and ultimately revealing our shared unity as beings in this vast and wondrous realm. So, won't you join me on this whimsical journey, where plastic transcends its limitations and becomes a conduit for artistry and imagination? Let's revel in the complexities that define us and wholeheartedly embrace the undeniable connections that bind us all together. After all, life is far too short to be anything but extraordinary.
